    sillysmi Good Afternoon from Arizona

    Hi.

I am about a big a n00b as you can find, having my first camera that can shoot manual of my own. I am a 37 yr old married male living down in Tucson. I am starting this as a hobby and would like to know as much as I can to get the best possible shots that I can. My wife and I do a lot of traveling and hope to be adopting a child within the next year so I want to be able to take some great shots of both.

Currently I have a Canon SX130 IS as a point and shoot camera that I will be doing almost all of my photos with that. My wife has worked as a professional photographer before and had a portrait studio for close to a year before giving it up due to lack of time and interest. She has a Canon 20D that I will also experiment with from time to time.

I look forward to anybody and everybody's feedback and suggestions. It's going to be a tough start for me, but I am really looking forward to learning and growing throughout this journey into being a better photographer.

    Thank you for reading.
    Rich
