Hi from Panama, Republic of Panama

Hi everyone!

I posted a while back, asking on advice on my first dslr and equipment to shoot cat shows, cats and travels... Well, I finally took the plunge and am now the proud owner of a Nikon D7000 (with the 18-105 mm VR lens kit), as well as a Nikkor 85mm f/1.8 and a SB700 flash unit. Couldn't be happier.

It is taking me a bit to get used to shooting a dslr, coming from mostly a point and shoot background, but a cat show, a trip to florida and a trip to Havana have proven to be good opportunities to start working with the camera.

I live in Panama, though my work will have me relocating every four to five years.

Thanks to all who gave advice on the thread. I look forward to a long time membership in this forum!
