Im taking a photography class, and i only have a few days to finish taking my pictures. My problem is, EVERY TIME I take my pictures something goes wrong. It may have something to do with my failure of being able to open a roll of film without help and the fact that im not good at paying attention to the time, but even when I take it to the store to get it developed it comes out blank. When I had a digital assignment every time I have tried to turn it in on my mp3 player ( could'nt find a flash drive) or a cd, my teachers computer didn't read it. What I need to know is how to open a role of film so that I can actually take the pictures
Is this a wind-up? I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.
It's a lot easier to show than to describe in words. Does this video help? It was the first one that came up when I Googled it. There are plenty of those videos on the web.
Sometimes the film doesn't get firmly attached to the take-up spool on the right, so when you think you're advancing the film it actually isn't going anywhere. I used to tighten up the slack in the film cannister with the rewind knob before closing the camera. If you do this and pay attention when you advance the film after a shot, you should see the rewind knob moving. If not, then the film has popped out of the spool on the right and you have to reload.
