    If I was looking for a mentor. Where and how could I seek out such help? I've seen the mentors area but is there something for a wanting student to post what he/she has and where they want to take their skills? So someone could decide if I would be a good fit in their classroom so to speak?

    There's no correlation between creativity and equipment ownership. None. Zilch. Nada. Actually, as the artist gets more into his thing, and as he gets more successful, his number of tools tends to go down. He knows what works for him. Expending mental energy on stuff wastes time.
