Hello from Ireland!
After much googling (and unregistered snooping) on photography forums, I decided to pick one and sign up. So here I am!
I'm a fledgling beginner into the DSLR world, lucky enough to be the partner of a semi-pro which means I got my hands on some relatively nice kit to start off with. I also get to play with his Canon 7D on occasion (no innuendo meant!)
Looking forward to picking a lot of brains here and seeing what advise I can get, and seeing how I progress this year alone. Been snapping on and off since January but only got my own kit a few weeks ago and hoping to have fun with it.

Welcome to Photoforum, but I am fairly new here too. I am in Northern Ireland. I have a Canon EOS 550D with lenses. Like your rose. I concentrate on landscape, plants and coastal shots.

Welcome aboard.
There's no correlation between creativity and equipment ownership. None. Zilch. Nada. Actually, as the artist gets more into his thing, and as he gets more successful, his number of tools tends to go down. He knows what works for him. Expending mental energy on stuff wastes time.
