    Hey from Chicagoland!

    Hey all of TPF!
My name is Alex Moon. Im 18 and from a suburb 20 minutes north of Chicago. I started getting into photography over the summer and just finally bought a camera about a month ago. Currently I have a Canon Rebel T3i, 18-55mm kit lens, 50mm f/1.8, and a canon tripod (looking to upgrade that soon). I love the car scene, mostly Japanese and Euro tuner and drifting. I love going to car meets and that was my main reason for getting into photography, photographing all of the cars. Hopefully once i get some experience and am not so much of a noob i can start doing some photo shoots of cars around the Chicago area. I have always been fascinated by beautiful landscapes, like an awesome desktop wallpaper haha, so i also want to get into landscape photography. And recently astronomical and celestial photography has caught my interest so i will try that as well. Im very excited to be here and to learn a lot!!

Thanks for reading all of that if you did!

    -Alex

Welcome, Alex! It sounds like you are getting interested in lots of different photographic styles, and that's a great way to learn. Chicago is a beautiful city, so you might enjoy cityscapes and street photography, too, eventually. The world is a big place.

    Keep posting, and have fun!
