Yep, it's the VRI version. The VR is nice, but nothing like the VR you have. Hell, the VC on my Tamron 70-300 is better.
But, I just paid $300.00 to fix it, and I came from the 80-200 F2.8, so I'm better off than I was back then. Ha.
I just wish I could own every lens. Ha!!! Need to win the lotto!!!!

Hahaha, if I owned every lens, then I'd end up spending more time trying to figure out what I want to use lol.

Do you like your 70-200F4? I have an older 70-200 F2.8 VRI. Thinking of switching. Lighter, etc... any good bad news?

I really like the 70-200 f4, I don't really have any complaints. The VR is incredible. It's definitely lighter. Yeah...you miss the 2.8 goodness but it makes up for it in different way and that's minimal focus distance. Reproduction ratio is far more greater than the 2.8...if any of that matters.

Image quality is fantastic. Super sharp and some say it's sharper than the 2.8 too.

Appreciate it. I would like that lens. I don't think I can get out of my current 2.8 because it's a little scruffy looking, ha. Previous owner. I bought it second hand, BGN grade at keh. It did recently get repaired for $300.00, so I will likely simply own it and use it.

Nothing wrong with that. Is that 2.8 the version 1? If so..the f/4 is definitely better optically and of course VR is insanely better. But what did it for me was the size/weight and the close focusing. But to be honest, I kind of want more tele haha. But the 70-200 f/4 is a great all around tele to bring with you. 200-500 is just too big to bring with you everywhere.

I've been processing Fuji X-Trans files all morning in Lightroom and I'm not happy. They just look so fake. In my opinion of course...

Playing with my new Nikon 70-200 f/4 VR. It was a good decision. Super sharp, great color rendition and micro contrast. VR is AMAZING! WOW.

Why do some mirrorless camera users go around bashing other photographers who use DSLRs or Medium format cameras? Too heavy for you?
