If you have the time might also want to check out the Durham Museum downtown, it's actually in the old Union Station designed by Gilbert Underwood - it was the first train station in the United States to be built in the Art Deco style and it is absolutely gorgeous. They've maintained/restored the interior so on the main floor it still looks the way it did in the 30's when it was Union station.
Please pardon the interruption.... You were kind enough to respond to the thread on my listing for the Olympus E-410. I noticed in your profile that you are from Louisville, NE. As luck would have it, I am going to be in Council Bluffs on Tuesday, now, apparently, with some time to kill. Any thoughts on good locations to get a nice Omaha skyline? Thanks. Dave. There's a walking bridge that goes across the river from Council bluffs to Omaha that you can get some fantastic shots from. The Gene Leahy Mall in downtown Omaha is a very scenic spot where you can get some fantastic skyline shots from, and if your looking for some great architecture the Old Market in downtown Omaha offers some some really great shooting opportunities.
