negative film digitalize

I own a canon pixma mx925 . Up to 2400 x 4800 dpi , Colour Scanning Depth Flatbed scan 48bit input / 24bit output (RGB each 16bit/8bit) Also I own a nikon D7100 Sould I use one of these two to digitalize me old negative films ( which one ? ) or slould I buy a film to digital converter...
