A friend and I got bored so we decided to go out and take a few night snaps.

The only photoshop grading done was a colour temperature change as the D40 doesn't go low enough, and I selectively darkened the subjects face to portray more of an idea than a person to identify with.


If you check out the rest of my gallery, you'll probably agree with me that the 18-55 is an amazingly sharp lens for its expense. It's just the usability that gets me. (can be so difficult to auto focus, manual focusing is very touchy, the focus ring is at the end of the lens so it's prone to getting looser and breaking)

Actually the latest Nikon 18-55mm is a sharp lens.
Sure there are sharper, more expensive lenses but as the OP said, for the expense, the lens is sharp and certainly a must own for anyone who doesn't have a lens of that length range.

I like the image, has that desolate feel :thumbup:
