    Okay so im at another standstill on a headshot.....

    the backround kinda ****ed me off cuz it was too bright but i love this shot cuz of her natural smile..... so do you guys like the dark backround or the lighter one????

    I like the darker background better.. It has more texture to it. But the argument could be made also that it distracts from the subject... The lighter one is just too blown out for my taste.

    I'd go with the dark and crop out everything just beyond her hair top and right.

    I agree the dark background works better. Its unfortunate htat her forhead got blown out, it makes her face a little too bright.

    I'd say go with the "darker" background because there is more detail in the photo. I wouldn't crop out everything above the head, leave a little room.

    The darker is definitely better, as is the slightly tighter crop.

    Tighter crop makes all the difference. :wink:
