Gotcha. I was unsure about what she meant by that to begin with.

In that case I would go for a YN-560-III and 560-TX! Think that would be right around that $100

I was looking at monopods too.. that was an option! I'm probably going to be shooting at my husband's rugby games so a monopod might be a worthwhile investment! Decent ones around $40 I think.. I was also maybe looking at a softbox and a trigger.. I have a cheap YN flash but no trigger.

Get a trekking pole that can be used as a monopod. Then if your husband sprains something playing rugby he can use it to walk to the car. I have one.
