My first photo up for critique ... this shot was also taken this morning waiting for my son's school bus ... the grimace on his face is a very typical "Liam Look"

Don't be afraid to be honest ... I can take it

I like the composition & the DOF but it looks underexposed to me. His mouth & eyes are almost lost in shadow. His jacket is almost completely black.

If that's what you were going for...that's OK too. But I'd like it lighter.


Worst of all...he is wearing a Toronto Maple Leafs touque. Boo Leafs!

I was to damn cold to shoot this morning but saw the same snow. I work in Markham but live in Brooklin, north of Oshawa. I also really like your ice photo.

If you are in the area the barn I shot yesterday is on Hwy7 between Markham and Brougham on the north side. It is lite up every night when I go by.

On my moniter the pic appears to be soft and under exposed. Not enough definition in the eyes.

I agree. Compostion is the part I really struggle with. Photos like this should help.

I agree with Mike, lose the Leaf touque
