2 for c&c (lightning and a bug)

Just thought i would share my not so impressive lightning shot. BUT, it was my first dslr capture of lightining. it was tuff in the daytime with speed. i only had a CP to diffuse.
Shot at 1/50 iso100 F/22
didnt do much for post. just a little sharp and saturation. Was fairly happy right out of the camera. cropped

I first went out going for a good macro, broke out the raynox macro filter and slapped it on the 90mm macro. Thought I would have got closer but this was as close as possable. I like the cocked head look...

bug scares the heck outta me

That bug is creepy looking for some reason. Nice closeup of it.

The lightning one I find interesting due to the fact that the clouds cut part of it out. Can see the spark at the top, then the follow through half way down and onto the ground.

er111a, not sure what the bug was, there were lots of them in a place i go to a lot. dont know the species tho...

skyclad, it was intresting on the lightning. there was no top to it like normal. I think the rain was so thick that it blocked out the top part. I do kinda like how it fades in and out of the clouds tho.
