im quite happy with the first one, although the highlight on top of the sand dollar does seem to be a bit distracting.

the second picture i love. the only thing is the crop, the subject is quite centered, but i still like the composition. if anyone would like to suggest a better crop im open to that as well.

    thanks for taking the time.

I think you did a great job considering the lighting you were working with. DOF is managed well in both of these shots. Like you mentioned, the only thing that needs tweaked a bit is the fact that the subject is centered in the image. There are some blown highlights, but they aren't all that distracting.

    Hope this helps,

    Steve M.

Great pics. It sounds like you already know what you need to work on.

haha i know, i like the composition of the first one and decided not to crop it at all, the second one im not sure where to crop.

i could try to remove some of the highlights on the bark with a crop but id lose some of the lizard. but i dont find them that distracting. im just not sure how to crop it and get him out of center without losing some of what i like about the photo, and not having it look like a pano.

im not really sure if i mind the lizard centered or not for that matter. :lmao:

    thanks.
