2007 Cherry Blossom festival in Washington DC

Took these a week ago on April 2nd (then i promptly got engaged), it was clearly the peak of the blossoms, as 2 days later they were mostly gone, due to a storm I think. Anyways, wanted to post these so you guys could see that we at least had spring for a few days before winter set in again. Thanks for looking

I've been trying to convince my family to take a trip to Washington D.C. while the cherry blossoms were still out but I guess by your comment out winter setting in means they've gone by. But anyways #5, #6, #12, #19, #20, #21, #29 really caught my eye. :thumbup:

Hey thanks for the comment. If you are ever in DC during the cherry blossom festival, its certainly worth at least taking a few hrs to walk around and see it, although I dont know that i'd schedule an entire trip just to see them (although there is plenty of other things to do in DC during a trip). This is one of the busiest times of the year for tourism in DC, they actually set a record for Metro ridership on the day I was down there, something like 800,000 people rode the metro that Tuesday...Also, if you are planning to go see them, i'd say aim for the middle of the festival, sometime in early april. Storms can knock down a lot of the blossoms so timing is critical.

LOVE this series!!! Seeing DC at cherry blossom time is on my list of things I've gotta do someday. My faves are 6, 12, 19, 20, 21 and 28.
