I'm too lazy to be in.
Between your back yard and Maggie, you probably have enough to do the alphabet without leaving.
Whew, just reading JC's post wore me out! There could be a Gary challenge - take a picture once in awhile, whenever you feel like it, or don't bother to get up out of your lazy chair... unless it's to toss another tri tip on the grill!
Thanks, Rick. There's definitely a lot of value in that, and I take those opportunities when I can. This is more about making me think in different ways, and I think the guidance from the prompts will get me to take photos I wouldn't have attempted otherwise. I'll show a quick example from my last project that I love...without the prompt "shoes" I would never have attempted this shot.

Nice! I don't think they have to be anything special, and I can't wait to see what you figure out with your drone!
Great! I'll think about how to set it up, and maybe I'll make a more official "planning" thread to see if we can find some prompt ideas. I've done some cursory google searching...the petapixel one was just the first one to show up, but there are others. I like the idea of categories -- portraits, technical, creative, landscapes, etc.
That's a great idea too, but I think I like the technical parts of some of the challenge prompts.
Great! I'd love to see what you come up with.
Thanks, JC. I know you'll knock all of whatever prompts we come up with out of the park. I can't wait.
Sorry, I'm a salesman and can get long winded on occasion. Too much? It took me a minute to voice to text it in. Lol
No, it made me tired thinking about doing all that! lol building a portfolio, etc. Boy, I need a glass of wine thinking about it. But then I know darkroom stuff. After I took a workshop at a local college I lived in the darkroom and turned into a real darkroom rat. So I hope you have fun with it!
@JonA_CT If you decide putting together your own challenge is too much work, here is the Facebook group for the Dogwood challenge: Log into Facebook | Facebook
One film a month with a theme that connects the frames would be good for me.
I think I'll join that group on Facebook...petapixel rehashed those prompts anyways. New thread coming soon.
I think this is a great idea too, Fred. Any theme suggestions? I can start that thread in the Film forum.
I don't develop my own, so the schedule will be a little wonky for me, but 36 frames a month is a great goal (for me anyways). I have a roll of Tri-X waiting for my camera.
I’m in for the Dogwood challenge and also doing a monthly project with some of my “mirrorless mama” friends where we are using a different cooor every month and posting a collage of 9 photos each month. Hopefully have not bitten off more than I can chew.
I’ll look for you on the Petapixel/ Dogwood page! If we get a few more from TPF to join we can start a thread to discuss the weekly themes.
Check out the “Grace Project”. I’ll post the link later when I’m at my laptop.
Okay, lazy Gary needs to get off his bigassbutt ... he’s in.
