How many people here actually don't have broadband? Isn't it like a minimum requirement these days? I can get broad band in the bush out in Buderim with my mobile phone. Oh and this is a photo forum so I think people know what they are getting into when they browse the galleries!

If i was used to having broadband I'd probably be the same - but i've hardly used it to really notice how bad 56k is lol

Here in the US the broadband coverage is nothing like they have in (for example) Europe. I suppose a lot of it is we have a lot more land to cover, but the companies that run the lines have also been dragging their feet.

hong Kong now has 100Mb lines run to homes. The best I can get here is 30Mb and that has only been for the last year or so when I got fiber-optic ran on my street.

    56K?? I thought 14.4 was the fastest...Thought I'm still on 9600... When I come here I have to make a weekend of it..and I'm starting early today.

Ok, just kidding. I couldn't be paid to go back to dialup.
