A bird shot... any merit to it?

    So how about it nature photogs, is there any value in this shot? I have no clue. :)

    the bird itself is nice, but the reflected background looks too confused. ;)

    Wow. Only one response. Must be the long weekend.

    Love the colors in the background. But the highlights on the bird look blown to me and, more importantly to me, the beak is lost.

    Nice try. Practice makes perfect they say.

    I like the bird and the reflection. The bit of stuff or ripple in the water near the beak hurts that a bit. You might crop the right side away a bit and see if you can lighten up the beak some. Good shot of the eye and that always helps. It's cool that the water was shallow enough to get the feet.

    hm, ok, so overall not horrible then.

    It's actually REALLY not a sharp shot, either, which irks the heck out of me, but I was shooting with an 18-200 in lowish light at pretty near full extension... bad combination of things there.

    Really helpful feedback, folks, and thank you.

    Those feet are actually really cool, btw... they're bright yellow. Very odd.
