The first one would be more interesting if the composition were different... train on the left [edited], more negative space on the right as if the train is "moving into the frame" of the shot. Better yet, if panned and showed the locomotion, would be better.

I think the second shot is ... recycle bin material... perhaps a bit of a different crop would make it more interesting.

They seem very flat and not really interesting. The 2nd photo especially with the flower just smack in the middle and you can't even tell if its the flower because there is no stem or anything. Maybe thats what you were going for tho...?

like atbawrps said, work on the composition of the photo and the placement of the subject in the frame.

even that 2nd photo. You should take it from 20 different angles and try to explore the space that it occupies and how many different ways you can photograph it.
