    I love my 18-105mm f/3.5. I got it for $250 on Amazon. I don't even need my 18-55mm anymore. (I have a D60).

Can't help you on the Nikon stuff and I never heard of "ProMaster" lenses.

You can try the free photo editing program called Gimp. I used Photoshop myself, so I've never actually tried it.

As for lenses, I'd save up and get a quality one. As for PS software, I have Photoshop Elements version 8.0 and LOVE IT! It's 100 bucks.

A great walk around lens is the 18-200. If your not doing any commercial work, it's great, gives you a decent wide angle along with a telephoto.

If your interested in taking photos in more of a low light, the 35 f1.8 is a great choice, along with any f2.8 lens

The only way to learn about something is research and ask questions right? No one is born knowing. Ya you should be able to pick up the program at your local best buy Here is a link to it at best buy. Hope that helped

I would recommend the Nikon 35MM f/1.8. For around $200, it allows you to shoot in low light, and would work well for landscapes, cars, and portraits. It has really great optical qualities for the price, and it will auto focus on your camera.
