A different style (for me )

    second shot of the sunrise another raw to jpeg. Still kind of a bore. What can I do to make it better?

    You need to try and find something interesting in the foreground, and maybe three elements like hayfield, tractor, sunset. Bridges and docks work well too. Just think of something in your area that would look good during a sunset. Keep at it..

    The dramatic lighting is there, but not the content. Explore telephone poles and roads or anything. Anything that will grab our attention.

    There is too little ground in this and the light is no longer as attractive as it was when you still got some red/pink hues on the same clouds (other photo, other thread, you know), but with some cropping and tweaking one MIGHT tickle some more out of these clouds in PS ... but it would require some work.
    A better sky would help a lot. But you can't order that as you please, can you? ;)
