Bugs
1. crop the top so there is only water showing. I think you are trying to show this man in contemplation. With just the water, the expanse will seem endless, like his thoughts.

2. I like the shot

3. This shot does not work, too much and too little...too much area covered in the shot, and too little theme conveyed.
