    Adam, I see you are going for becoming a second D.Bishop :) I like it because it is original :) but do you have one in color?

    I like the idea. Nothing really catches my eye. Point of focus is a little vague. A bump in contrast may help too.

    A little change in lighting may help by bringing out some texture.

    I'm a b&w guy, but I like the color version.

    Looking at your inspiration for it, you'll notice that the lighting is coming from the right side. I think that would also work for your image too.
