Great capture here. I think a little crop at the bottom would be better. But I don't think taking all the land out is totally necessary. Great photo.
 
sorry to have to say this but there is a major fault with this photo...

it wasnt taken by me :lol:

I quite like how you chose to take this wonderful landscape photo (in very nice light!) in portrait style, having things in focus from up close until far, far away. Quite interesting aspect!

Agree. Especially, because there is nothing eye-catcher (interesting) down there, also no nice colors, too dark...

Otherwise, the photo is amazing!
 
I would have kept the same composition, just stepped forward to the water's edge, so nothing but the lake was visible in the bottom of the frame.

But then it would be my photo, not yours :)

The scene is very nice!
