Nicely done. Normally I would say it lacked contrast, but I think the conversion is appropriate for the subject. A little more room on top wouldn't have hurt however.

You've cropped so close already I hate to suggest even tighter, but IMO the dark fold on the left is somewhat distracting. If you crop most of the darkness away, you probably have enough of the child's hair to frame her face.

Thanks for the critique, I was playing with the crop for a while. Sometimes it's just a fresh set of eyes needed
