It's my experiment for mixing photos, mp3s and lyrics together as a slideshow for karaoke or other use.

The slideshow code can be embedded in blog.

The main feature of the slideshow is that random photo retouching effects are applied on the fly.

Some common filters in gimp and photoshop are implemented. Not a designer, I'm just new to photoshop. Therefore, any comment for improvement are welcome.

The demos are put on Album and Slideshow demo: http://freejtv.blogspot.com/2007/05/freejtv-demo.html

How is this different from the code and features allowed from Slide.com?

I've not used Slide's service before. From my limited experience with flickr,
I think their UI design is very good, but there are not engough functions for me. I wish to mix lyric file, mp3 , photo slideshow for karaoke use. That's the main reason for building the applet, and I wish to have the directX transition effects ( seen in a lot of web sites)

Besides, I wish to add some common Photoshop effects on the slideshow, e.g. Softglow, Painting effects to make the slideshow more attracting.

The album and slideshow pages could be put on my own web space ( I use googlepages) .

Slide has expanded their features a lot lately.
(my son is chief developer so I follow their activity fairly closely)
