A Stroll Through The Garden

Thank you everyone for your positive and thoughtful feedback.
I like #1 but the DOF is so short that it almost seems to be sectioned off to much
I see exactly what you mean. I'm sure this is fairly common when shooting macro for the first time, I was setting for the shallowest dof I could. It will be helpful for me to play with the middle of the depth rather than just the extremes.
Flowers are so WILLING objects. And beautiful at that.
However, I have by now taken so many photos of almost each blossom that was out to be seen last year - I feel a little overfed by my own flower photos...
Ya know, it was flower shots on this board that made me want to go out and get a macro lens. As I was shooting, I was thinking to myself, 'what the hell am I going to shoot that hasn't been shot a million times before'? But then I figured that I should just shoot what feels good to me, and to hell with its redundancy. But I am left wondering what other subjects people like to shoot with their macros.
