So here are a few very recent attempts at water droplet macro shot. All shots were taken with an XTI and 100mm canon macro. Lots in full auto, a few in full manual, but all in manual focus. For the backdrops on 1-5 I used album covers, props to anyone who can guess the albums. C&C welcome from all
Peace

Cool drops, I like #3 and #5.

Not sure about the album covers, but it reminds me of the people using album covers to do... things... let me just find the link for ya.

Edit: Ugh, can't find it. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

1 & 2: Talking Heads, "Remain In Light". The others I don't have a clue.

Great pics, by the way. Having tried this with horrendous results, I know it's not easy.

Awesome 3 and 6 are so similar which makes them my favorite. What shutter speed did you use for these if you don't mind me asking?

Great twist on the water droplets idea. Nice to see something differant out of them. Cool idea using the albums as backgrounds too! Love'em!

jpenna -- showing my age -- I remember what you're talking about :p

Thanks for the compliments everyone. SPANIARD, I think for a few I was at 1/60 and f2.8 but I will go back and check. I found that for the water shots I have better luck shooting full auto with flash, and manually focusing on the water at the source then following it to desired area. More to come:mrgreen:
