A walk through the woods..

Decided to take a little hike at a local park today with my K10D , Kit Lens, and Tamron 70-300 LD Di.

I like the subjects. I don't understand why the background looks grainy on #3.

I think I used a little too much unsharp mask on it, was a bit soft. Only thing I can think of, it was ISO 100, so shouldn't be noisy at all.

The subject of #3 is awesome. I wonder what flower that is. The background, however, is very grainy.

Also, the last pic makes me want to go take a stroll through the woods.

I have no idea what those flowers are called, but I will tell you that they are very small, maybe the size of a nickel. The grain is odd to me too, I still think it is from maybe a little too much U S M. i really had to work with that image to sharpen it up a bit, my focus wasn't spot on for that shot.
