Well I hope one of you out there can lend me a hand, i want to purchase

But... I am unsure how it all works, i understand one part goes on the hot shoe on my camera but how does the receiever attach to the Flash? Anyone got any ideas and if additional parts need to be purchased please could you let me know what parts and from where?

Hey cbay...this is a wireless studio flash accessory, not a wireless shoe flash adapter; I would recommend against this purchase unless you have a studio flash.
