accessories for G12?

Are there any accessories I can use to get a better shallow depth of view on the G12 so that backgrouns are more out of focus? I can't lower the aperture on the G12 enough sometimes to make a picture like this.

Nope. That's one of the problems with point-and-shoot and bridge cameras. The sensor is so small that virtually any aperture is going to have an enormous depth of field. The best you can do is use a wide open aperture and get as close as possible to your subject.

You have to remember that those cameras were designed for people who have zero photographic skills, and who (literally) just want to point and shoot. The vast majority will never see anything other than "Automatic" mode.

Not directly. This thread is about accessories for the G12 to adjust DOV.
The other thread is about a different camera and types of compact cameras that can get blurred backgrounds easily.
