Adding Lightning

I was wondering what you could do in the form of lightning. I could not capture it naturally so what can you guys come up with.

I think the cloud above needs to be lightend up a bit. Usually the entire cloud is really bright

How are you all doing this? Is this some kind of special photoshop plug in or something?

You can find brushes that help you do this... or a tutorial that shows you how to make lightning from difference clouds and a gradient fill.

Mine is not actually a brush. Its a combination of 2 other pictures of lighting hacked up and placed into the image. Sounds alot easier that way.
