If your on a serious budget you could consider a used 200mm f2.8 FD. I'm not sure if this will or can mount to your camera though. Darned Canons![h=1][/h]

I just got the 85mm f1.8. Only used it once while sitting on the bench. The light was good but the reach was limiting.

It may be better than others but I think at lease 150mm will be necessary.

A good lens will hold it's value. Get what you need, (the pictures you'll get will be priceless) then sell it and get most or all your money back when you're done with it.
