How cool is that, Mistress? Thanks for sharing!

    Look:

31 years old at the time of the 9-11 attack on America
(I was in the principal's office for a 'meeting' for my son when this happened)
27 years old when Princess Diana was killed in a car crash
(I was headed to the lake for the weekend and stayed home glued to the tv instead!
24 years old at the time of Oklahoma City bombing
(I had just given birth and was worried about my friends who live there)
24 years old when O. J. Simpson was charged with murder
(I was pregnant and having dinner at Ruby Tuesday's watching this unfold on the bigscreen)
20 years old when Operation Desert Storm began
(I had just married a Navy man)
19 years old during the fall of the Berlin Wall
(I watched on tv as people took chunks of the wall as reminders)
15 years old when the space shuttle Challenger exploded
(I was home with a migrain that day)
10 years old when Pres. Reagan was shot by John Hinckley, Jr.
(I was shopping with my aunt ... and still remember what she bought me that day!)

It's funny what we recall from major events, eh?

I was working in a pub and watched it all unfold with the surreal surrounding of day-time alcoholics.
22 years old on the first day of Y2K
I was drinking a magnum of Krug on the beach in Brighton and generally giving it very large indeed.
19 years old when Princess Diana was killed in a car crash
I was in my flat, watching TV at 4.30am. Stayed up to watch it. Seem to recall crying, even though I didn't care... think everyone had that reaction.
17 years old at the time of Oklahoma City bombing
Had just gone to University, don't think this made much of an impact on us.
16 years old when O. J. Simpson was charged with murder
Again, less fuss in the UK about this. It made quite a lot of news with the updates on the trial.
15 years old at the time of the 93 bombing of the World Trade Center
We'd just about finished with the IRA bombing London, so it didn't really make a big impact on me.
13 years old when Operation Desert Storm began
    Yep, remember this all right.
12 years old during the fall of the Berlin Wall
Watched live on TV, found it very exciting, even though I didn't know why there was a wall there.
8 years old when the space shuttle Challenger exploded
    Watched that on TV too.
6 years old when Apple introduced the Macintosh
I had a CBM 8000, didn't hold with such modern rubbish.
5 years old during Sally Ride's travel in space
    Who?
3 years old when Pres. Reagan was shot by John Hinckley, Jr.
    Nope. Too young.
2 years old at the time the Iran hostage crisis began
    Ditto.

    It's hard to forget. :(

If you really know the history behind the wall, it's really horrible.
