I am trying to learn better lighting techniques and overall any tips to help improve my pictures. any help I can get is much appreciated! in this picture I tried to light my friend at camera left next to me and camera right behind the skater. what could I have done better as far as lighting, editing, or the picture in general?

    try a different angle.

try moving the lighting , maybe pointed up at the skater more and straight on with him. and maybe wait till he is more toward the end of the rail thingy.
