Ahh ... Grasshoppa

Shot this guy in the front yard this afternoon. Critique is always welcome, especially in regard to the dof. Still trying to get this macro stuff down ... any suggestions appreciated.

Really great detail, he has great teexture. Really nice DOF is god a bit shallow maybe. Great shot though.
 
Now that's as close as I've ever been to a grasshopper. The face is very sharp and detailed and the DOF is a little shallow as it looks to be blurring a little of the face on the right side but still a great shot!
 
dang....insects magnified are wicked looking! nice shot.
 
I think that only grasshoppa-mommma can love this face....
Cool-looking macro - I like grasshoppers... WHEN THEY ARE LITTLE.
 
Wow what an amazing shot. I have never seen a pictures like that one before. Good on you Tex, Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the comments everyone. Getting good dof is tough with macros. If anyone has experince or advice they are willing to give please let me know your secrets. Thanks again!
