Hey everyone, I snapped some shots at the Monarchs/Pirates game last night at the University of Maine's Alfond Arena. Enjoy!

Anything? Anyone? Nobody likes hockey? Come on...

And by the way, I know the shots are a little underexposed in areas, there is no flash allowed in the arena, and the lighting in there is subpar at best. So, I had to jack the ISO up to 1250 to get to a 1/320 shutter speed, so try and excuse the noise.

Love it. Live in Chicago. Blackhawk games are way pricey to we've been going the AHL Wolves games. Great time. What lens are these with? I have an 18-55 and a XXX-200 somethiing or other.

I shot them with a 180mm Nikkor f/2.8. I'm actually getting a 70-200 Nikkor VR f/2.8 soon though, and have a buyer lined up for my 180mm, so this was probably the last hockey game that lens will ever see.

They look great especially considering the lighting conditions

Thanks. The lighting is definitely hard in there. And I don't have a hotshoe flash, yet, but even if I did, banned in the arena. It's hard shooting in there even with an f/2.8.
