OK, here is my day in a brief summary:

I checked in this mornig at Heathrow airport at 10, just to find out after passing all security, that my flight was cancelled due to fog. So I had to get out, get to the Lufthansa desk and get a new flight with BA, then, again through security, pick up luggage, out again, change terminal, check in with BA. ... then BA flight cancelled too, re-booked on another BA flight, and so on and on and on ... at some point i gave up, had lots of Baileys from the friendly Baileys-for-free man, then got to a bar and downed a couple of pints to kill airport frustration. But then I realised that I apparently had lost my last valid ticket (drunk?), so back to the BA desk and get a new one. Finally, 5 in the afternoon I was in a plane then! Horray I thought, that is it! So I sat there, and sat there and sat there ... and suddenly we were told that the plane had no pilots since the pilots were still trying to land a delayed flight from Italy. Since the plane was stuffed to the limit with people who had their earlier flights cancelled, it was basically like a sauna!
Several hours later (of which the flight was only about one hour) I arrived back home (half past 8 in the evening), just to get told by my taxi driver, that I certainly had a wonderful day!

certainly could have been worse! I actually met a guy who started his journey at the City Airport way earlier, and was then because of the fog transferred by bus to Heathrow, and there he had to go through exactly the same as I did.

awww maaaaaan thatsa bad... only airport trouble we had was my mum always has a first aid kit in her handbag... just a small one... but it had some small rounded blunt scissors, that cant even cut paper (although paper is acutally quite tough). they wanted us to fill in loads of paperwork so that we could pick up the 50p scissors at the other end when we got back (we were in singapore). when we ogt onto the plane, the passengers next to us had a HUGE POINTY FIRE POKER with ornate patterns on it... it could have speared at least 2 on it... it was sharp enough...

anyway... nowhere near as bad as your experience and im sure your glad your rid of it...

besides, you can always get stuck in some other situation and htink "at least i wont have to wait 10 hours"

Alex, I think it is time you get your pilots license. Then you won't have to worry about this crap.. lol

I haven't been on a plane in 9 years. So I have no recent boob stories.
