OK, here is my day in a brief summary: I checked in this mornig at Heathrow airport at 10, just to find out after passing all security, that my flight was cancelled due to fog. So I had to get out, get to the Lufthansa desk and get a new flight with BA, then, again through security, pick up luggage, out again, change terminal, check in with BA. ... then BA flight cancelled too, re-booked on another BA flight, and so on and on and on ... at some point i gave up, had lots of Baileys from the friendly Baileys-for-free man, then got to a bar and downed a couple of pints to kill airport frustration. But then I realised that I apparently had lost my last valid ticket (drunk?), so back to the BA desk and get a new one. Finally, 5 in the afternoon I was in a plane then! Horray I thought, that is it! So I sat there, and sat there and sat there ... and suddenly we were told that the plane had no pilots since the pilots were still trying to land a delayed flight from Italy. Since the plane was stuffed to the limit with people who had their earlier flights cancelled, it was basically like a sauna! Several hours later (of which the flight was only about one hour) I arrived back home (half past 8 in the evening), just to get told by my taxi driver, that I certainly had a wonderful day!
