This was going to be the deciding factor between keeping my old 300mm f4 AF or stepping up to an AF-S. I think I'll stick with the solid mount and live with the slower focus. What do you think?

You've got some great shots here, but they're gonna move it to the photo gallery since there's multiple pics But the pics themselves are all great, very nice captures!!!

All good, although i would have liked a slower shutter speed on the warbird and pan the shot to get a motion blurred propeller. While the shot is nice, the frozen movement of the blades detracts from the shot ( to me anyway, as i'm a warbird nut).

BTW i like the first shot the best

I love hornets too BTW. From my chair at work i see (and hear) them everyday.

Very Nice...as fast as though little birds move, I think that you did a wonderfull job withh all the images.
