hi guys,

I'm new here and I'm hoping I could get some help with my Minolta srt sc-ii. The shutter guide that is view-able through the view finder seems to be loose and floating around. It doesn't affect the image itself but it is something I want to resolve. If you guys have any suggestions to fix this it would be much appreciated.

This can only be repaired by disassembling the camera which I do not recommend for the inexperienced and would cost more to have done professionally than the price of another body in good condition.

Get yourself another Minolta body in good condition is my advice. They are cheap as dirt.

The SRTs are great cameras but they are now quite old and later models often have electronic problems so be sure the body works well before buying.

Time to say "Sayonara" to that body's meter. Use it with a handheld meter if it's otherwise OK mechanically.
