alright im ready for a macro LENS!

a reversing ring is cheap and great for macro, basically, all it does, is allow you to put your lense on backwards, its actually quite effective!

alright what do you think this would do for me http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=016&item=260017534542&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

and then there is this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=012&item=220013475962&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

im not sure if one is better than the other or what not. im new to the macro lens thing.
any good? someone told me that you are pretty smart on here so i assume you would have a great answer for me about that lens.

thank you so much for your input :)

i reckon youll find many 'macro' lenses arent actually very close compared to what wed like, i don't know much about them though, maybe look up an online review with sample photos

FWIW, I've got the Nikon 60mm AF, 105mm AF, 105mm AF VR, 200mm AF and the 70-180mm AF Zoom micro lenses as well as the PB-6 & PB-E bellows set.

The suggestion for getting a reversing ring is an excellent one. It is a good inexpensive way to get high reproduction ratios.

If you decide to get a true macro lense I would suggest the 105mm as the first one and to get higher magnification get a set of extention rings. I find I use the 105mm the most then the 200mm.

If you really want massive magnification you could get a bellow set but you they are pretty much just for studio work. Very hard to take them into the field.

I am still shooting film with a FM2n and a F5. I do not use digital cameras but I do have a scanner for my slides and negatives.
