IMH(noobish)O I think a cool shot could be taken through the branches of the tree? I like your shot, but I'm extremely partial to tree branches into a sky scene...?
I know this is not the greatest example.. and probably show a bit more of the tree/landscape...?

Why don't you try cropping the photo top to bottom where the trees meet the clouds, making 2 distinct photos from the one.

Dude... thanks for all the responses guys... I'm hoping to get back out to this location and do a re-shoot with the ideas I've generated from all the responses in this threads... I will repost them as soon as I get it done... Thanks again for all the help
