Also too dark? I'm curious if my monitor is brighter than average

I think its fine. The bright colors of the clothing could make her face appear to be dark. but if you would of used a flash to lighten her up you would of probably killed the colors.

I just looked on a CRT, and both pictures are leveled way too dark on that monitor, even though they're great on my monitor.

use layers in photoshop to brighten her face? That'd probably work....

This one is almost too light on my LCD and still a bit too dark on the CRT. Interesting.

Is it still dark now, on your screens? Is it too bright for anyone?
