Altering text later in Lightroom

Hi guys
I have just downloaded the free 1 month trial of Lightroom after many rave reviews. So far it is great, however, I have a question. I have just used it to create a slideshow thing for my images. Previously I used an FTP programme and if I had made any errors I could go in myself and change them very easily. I keep making silly errors (spelling mistakes generally) and have had to reload the pics twice now. There are 364 photos in this batch so it is taking me a while. Obviously, apart from the obvious advise of being more careful before I upload, is there anything I can do to tinker with it once it is up? I just want to correct small errors. I assume I can't, but I want to check.
