I took the advice given to be by members here to look for a sigma 50-500mm lens for my 350D. However, actually finding one in stock is like looking for hen's teeth!!

I have been looking at the Tamron SP AF200-500mm lens instead. Will my current filters fit? I have a Cokin filter mount for P series filters. Can i use this on the same lens?

All lenses have different diameters some are standard like 49,55,58,62,67,77 etc..... you need to look at your specific lens and find out. One thing if the new lens you want has a larger aperture than your current filters you can buy a stepping ring to step you lens up to the size of the filters. For obvious reasons you cannot step down.

It seems to be available at Park Cameras.

Also have you tried this place in Watford?
Not the only option of course, just that if they don't have it they will at least try to get it in.
