Amateur Newbie ...

Hi All,

I am very much an amateur photographer so would love any advice on my photos.

I do very little editing to my photos ... usually just cropping. I am not against editing just feel straight up photography and digital art are two different platforms.

I love to capture the beauty of a moment in time to add to the 'memory banks'.

If you are shooting jpegs, you are already editing the picture when you pick the picture settings, except that you are leaving it to the engineers who made your camera to decide what needs to be done.

Sometimes you see the almost perfect shot but you just can't get into a position where the lamppost isn't sticking out of little Susie's head. Post-processing can fix that.
You forgot your fast glass but really want the shot so you go to raw and shoot. Post-processing can fix that.
Mary didn't make it to the event but everybody wants her in the group picture. Post-processing can fix that.
Teenage girl has a zit but it's time for her Senior Picture. Posy-processing can fix that...........................
