Amateur Photography

Hey all!

I am a newish amateur photographer. I mainly like to take the photos and make my own spin on them.

I do most of the editing through apps on my iPhone, is that bad? Can that make me not "professional"?

No, taking photographs with your iPhone and editing on the iPhone is not at all bad. Good for you!

Why worry about appearing to be a "professional"?

Well, I want to go into the industry and get paid for this someday when I am comfortable with how my images turn out. I use a Nikon when I am out and about on the weekends. However I like the features the apps on my phone make the images. I guess I shouldn't really be concerned with the professional portion of the area, since all art is open to interpretation
