The Amgen Tour rode into Sacramento a few days ago. The finish line is around the corner from my office so I headed over to grab a few pictures. Here are a couple of them.

These guys were moving fast. Here is what they look like if I did not follow them with the camera.

Nice, 6 is my favorite. I can't remember what street that is, but it goes right by the capitol building, right? I lived in Sac for a couple years.

I've always heard that those guys are moving at 45 - 50 mph, is that the case?

6 & 7 are great. 7 really gives me a sense of how fast they were moving.

Yes they will usually hit around 45mph on the finishing sprint. This amazes me because that is after riding 100 miles that day. I followed the Tour of Missouri last year for all 6 days. Pretty fun. I just had a P&S at that time but this year will be different.

    Welcome to ThePhotoForum, mmcguire!

The panned photos are great, but I also like the one where you let all the cyclists racing by become one blur. That one's FUNNY!
