I would have liked a more delicate perch and a better head angle to show his blue crown but this is one of the most skittish species that come to my feeder. When he lands he almost always hides behind leaves and on the rare occaisions that he lands briefly in the open the slightest movement from me and he's gone. It would be interesting to know why skittishness varies so much among species. There are several that visit my feeder that aren't afraid at all and will feed with you only inches away.
